	The reason I didn't respond with a personal statement about my
fellowship at the Center is that I didn't want to say how disappointed
I was in the lack of results of our study.  As far as I can see, the
Center was not at fault; it was simply that (in my opinion) none of the
participants except me worked on the problems for which we got together,
and I achieved no significant results that year.  This was partly my
fault, since I was primarily responsible for choosing the participants.
